Summer Coaching Waiver Period Begins June 15
The Saint Paul Public Schools Athletics Department is opening the summer coaching waiver period starting Monday, June 15.
The summer coaching waiver period allows coaches to contact athletes and schedule practices and workouts during the summer months when there is no school.
The summer coaching waiver period will consist of two phases. The first phase will include outdoor activities from June 15 - August 6. The second phase will consist of indoor activities from June 22 - August 6.
Due to the continued presence of COVID-19, a variety of guidelines, expectations and daily procedures will be implemented to keep all coaches and athletes safe. These include hand-washing requirements, COVID-19 screening questionnaires, enforced coach-to-athlete ratio limits and sanitation recommendations, among many other protocols.
All athletes must register with their coaches before being allowed to participate. Please contact your athletic director with questions about registering for the summer coaching waiver period. Please note, failure to follow the expectations, procedures and guidelines as outlined by SPPS will result in the student athlete being immediately dismissed from the program with no refund issued.

Practice Schedule: 3:15-5:45 pm at Central High School Main Participation Fee: $45/ with fee waiver $20
Season Start: March 2, 2020
** All Athletes must have a current sports physical, a signed and current MSHSL Eligiblity form and the participation fee paid before they are allowed to participate. There is a 1 day processing period from the date that ALL registration items are turned into the Central Athletic Director in which the athlete will have to wait before participating.

Practice will be held after school from 3:15 - 5pm. This allows students to get help from teachers right after school, make tutoring arrangements and have some social time.
